- Cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves if you prefer).
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assembly
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, pressing it down gently.
- If you like them crispy, dip the stuffed jalapeños in bread crumbs to coat them.
Baking
- Place the filled jalapeños on a baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve jalapeño poppers hot with dipping sauces like ranch, sour cream, or hot sauce. Store leftover poppers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven.
