Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 Minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang optional
Steak
  • 1.5 lbs Flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
Rice
  • 4 cups Cooked white rice
Vegetables & Toppings
  • 1 cup Carrots julienned
  • 1 cup Cucumber julienned
  • 1/2 cup Kimchi
  • 2 tbsp Green onions chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and gochujang in a mixing bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced steak to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
Cooking & Assembly
  1. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak slices until they are browned and cooked through to your desired doneness.
  2. Divide the cooked white rice evenly among four serving bowls. Arrange the cooked steak, julienned carrots, julienned cucumber, and kimchi on top of the rice.
  3. Garnish each bowl with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve the Korean BBQ Steak Rice Bowl immediately for the best experience.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the steak overnight if time permits.
