  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
For Serving (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic glaze

Equipment

  • Small bowl
  • Spoon

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  2. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 5-10 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld. For a stronger flavor, let it sit longer or gently warm slightly.
Serving
  1. Just before serving, stir in the fresh chopped parsley. If desired, drizzle with balsamic glaze for an added touch of sweetness and tang.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The oil can be prepared a few hours in advance to allow flavors to deepen. Serve with warm, crusty artisan bread like ciabatta or baguette.
