Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage and carrots, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  5. Add the soy sauce and green onions, and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

This dish is best served hot, can be enjoyed on its own or over cauliflower rice. Adjust garlic and ginger to taste, and add other vegetables for extra crunch. Can substitute ground turkey with chicken or pork.
