  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream Greek yogurt is a healthier option
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika optional, for color
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or chives, chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish and spread the yogurt mixture evenly over the top of each piece.
Cooking
  1. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). The topping should be golden and slightly bubbly.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives before serving. This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in some of the yogurt mixture for a couple of hours before baking. Fresh herbs can elevate the dish; try adding fresh garlic or thyme to the topping for a different flavor. You can switch up the cheese for a mix of your favorites like mozzarella or cheddar. Adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the topping mixture can add texture and flavor.
