Ingredients
  

For the Brownies
  • 1 cup butter Melted but not hot
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs Add one at a time
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M’s Can use different types for variations

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the M&M’s.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great on their own or with vanilla ice cream. For a festive touch, sprinkle extra M&M's on top before serving.
