Ingredients

For the cake
  • 2 packs Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz) Ensure it's softened for smooth mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream Use cold for better whipping results.
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz) Regular pudding is not recommended.
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules Increase for a stronger coffee flavor.
  • to taste Chocolate shavings or additional Oreo crumbs for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix, milk, and instant coffee granules until well combined. Let it sit for a few minutes until it thickens.
  4. Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese and whipped cream mixture.
  5. In a trifle dish or large serving dish, layer half of the crushed Oreos, followed by half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers.
  6. Top with chocolate shavings or additional Oreo crumbs.
  7. Refrigerate for at least a few hours, or overnight, to let the flavors blend. Serve chilled.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3-4 days. Check for freshness before serving if stored longer. Chilling overnight enhances flavor.
