Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix and rolled oats.
- Add the nut butter and honey (or syrup) to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- If using, add protein powder and mix again.
- Fold in chocolate chips or sprinkles.
- If the mixture is too dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until it holds together.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for a quick snack.
Notes
Great on their own or served with fruit or yogurt. Pairs well with milk or a smoothie. Stays fresh for about a week in the fridge; can be frozen for up to a month.
