  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted (2 sticks)

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 9x13 inch baking dish, whisk together pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, and salt until smooth.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin mixture.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix layer, ensuring it's as evenly distributed as possible.
  4. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
