Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined and no streaks of flour remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Orange Glaze
- While the cake cools, whisk together the powdered sugar and orange juice in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake tender. For extra citrus flavor, add more orange zest to the glaze.
