Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Orange zest
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Orange Glaze
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp Fresh orange juice add more if needed

Method
 

Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined and no streaks of flour remain.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Orange Glaze
  1. While the cake cools, whisk together the powdered sugar and orange juice in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Do not overmix the batter to keep the cake tender. For extra citrus flavor, add more orange zest to the glaze.
