- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake cools slightly, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth.
- Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the orange glaze over the top before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra boost of orange flavor, soak the cake with a warm orange juice syrup right after baking.
