  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 3 Large eggs
  • ½ cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Orange zest
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Orange Glaze
  • 1 ½ cups Powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp Fresh orange juice

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. While the cake cools slightly, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the orange glaze over the top before slicing and serving.

For an extra boost of orange flavor, soak the cake with a warm orange juice syrup right after baking.
