Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the bread interior to create space for the filling.
Cooking
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add the minced meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the diced bell pepper and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Spoon the meat mixture into the prepared baguettes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese generously on top of each filled baguette.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
These baguettes can be served as a main dish or a hearty snack. They pair well with a simple side salad or crispy chips. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. You can also freeze them before baking.
