  • 1 cup peanut butter Use creamy peanut butter for best texture.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar Can be replaced with more granulated sugar.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate kisses Can be substituted with other candies like caramel.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in baking soda, salt, and flour until well combined.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  2. Remove from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a bag for up to three months. Thaw before enjoying.
