Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt butter in a large pot over low heat; add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat, then stir in pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and let cool completely before cutting into squares.
