- Prepare the salad ingredients by dicing the apples and grating the carrots; chop nuts if you are using them.
- Make the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the prepared apples, carrots, cranberries, and nuts; pour the dressing over and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
