Preparation
- Start by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the softened cream cheese until well combined. The mixture should be moist and hold together.
Dipping and Decorating
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Insert a lollipop stick or paper straw into each ball. Let them chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. If you want a smoother coating, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Take the chilled cookie pops and dip each one into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Return them to the baking sheet.
- Before the chocolate hardens, quickly add mini pretzels for antlers, white candy eyes, and a red gumdrop or candy for the nose.
Enjoy
- Let the chocolate coating set completely before serving.
Notes
Store left-over Rudolph Cookie Pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to one week. If you want to save time, you can buy chocolate dipping wafers instead of melting chocolate chips. Be creative with the decorations! You can use different candies to customize your reindeer. If you don’t have black candy eyes, you can use small chocolate chips as an alternative.
