Main Ingredients
  • 80 g pumpkin seeds
  • 80 g sunflower seeds
  • 80 g sesame seeds
  • 50 g ground flaxseed / linseed
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder or granules
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder or granules
  • 1 tsp dried herbs I used oregano
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus extra for brushing
  • 410 ml warm water

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by adding the sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and ground flaxseed to a medium-sized bowl. Stir well.
  2. Next, add the salt, dried herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast to the mixture. Stir again until everything is combined.
  3. Pour in the olive oil and warm water. Mix well until fully combined. Cover the bowl and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F). Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Pour the seed mixture onto the tray and pat it down evenly without any holes.
  3. Brush the top with a bit of olive oil and place the tray in the oven. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. If they become soft, crisp them up in a warm oven for a few minutes. Experiment with different herbs and spices for flavor variation.
