  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water Around 110°F (43°C) for yeast activation
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in melted butter, salt, and gradually add flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Cover and let it rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

Store the bread in an airtight container or a plastic bag at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, slice and freeze the bread for easier use.
