- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Stir in melted butter, salt, and gradually add flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Store the bread in an airtight container or a plastic bag at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, slice and freeze the bread for easier use.
