  • 2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Decoration
  • 12 ounces white candy melts
  • orange sprinkles or icing for nose
  • mini chocolate chips for eyes/buttons
  • pretzel sticks for arms

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush vanilla wafers finely in a food processor, then combine with softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until the mixture is well incorporated.
  2. Chill the truffle mixture for at least 30 minutes, then roll it into approximately 1-inch diameter balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Melt white candy melts according to the package instructions, then dip each truffle into the melted chocolate until it is fully coated.
Decoration & Setting
  1. Before the chocolate sets, carefully add mini chocolate chips for the eyes and buttons, an orange sprinkle or tiny piece of icing for the nose, and small pretzel pieces for the arms.
  2. Allow the decorated truffles to set completely in the refrigerator until they are firm, which should take about 15-20 minutes, before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing. You can use different types of cookies for the base, such as Oreo crumbs or graham crackers, for flavor variations. Chill the truffles thoroughly after each step to prevent them from becoming too soft while handling.
