Method

Cook the Rice
  1. Combine rice, water, and salt in a pot; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Prepare the Stir-Fry
  1. Whisk together soy sauce, Sriracha, and brown sugar in a small bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned; drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper to the skillet; stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in the prepared sauce and toss everything to coat, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Assemble Bowls
  1. Divide the steamy rice among serving bowls.
  2. Top with the spicy ground beef and garlic vegetable stir-fry.
  3. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.

Notes

Adjust Sriracha to your preferred spice level. For a healthier option, use brown rice or cauliflower rice.
