Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 boxes Vanilla Wafers
  • 6 to 8 pieces bananas, sliced Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid them becoming mushy.
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 container strawberries, sliced
Pudding Mixture
  • 1 box (5 oz.) French Vanilla pudding You can substitute with other pudding flavors if desired.
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (12 oz.) whipped topping Homemade whipped cream can be used instead.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  2. Add the French Vanilla pudding and milk to the mixture and stir until well combined.
Layering
  1. In a large serving dish, layer the vanilla wafers.
  2. Follow with a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
  3. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and wafers.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with the pudding mixture on top.
  5. Spread the whipped topping over the final layer.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  2. To serve, scoop out portions into bowls or dessert cups. Add extra slices of banana or strawberries on top for presentation.

Notes

This dessert is best served chilled. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, although texture may change. For added flavor, mix in a teaspoon of vanilla extract into the pudding mixture. You can prepare this dessert a day in advance and it can also be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings.
