Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add sugar, egg, and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in the center of each cookie and fill it with a small amount of strawberry jam.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies are best served slightly warm. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate to keep fresh longer. Use parchment paper between layers if stacking.
