  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced Can be substituted with other fruits.
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for dusting)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart shape and top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over slightly and brush with the beaten egg.
  6. Place the danishes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
