Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape.
  3. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a border.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
  5. Sprinkle oregano and garlic powder over the toppings.
  6. Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, sealing the ends.
  7. Place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the top with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make sure your dough is rolled out evenly to avoid any weak spots. Customize the fillings with your favorite meats, vegetables, or cheeses. Don’t overload the dough; this could cause it to burst while baking. Let the stromboli rest a bit after baking before slicing for cleaner cuts.
