Preparation
- In a bowl, combine sunflower seeds, maple syrup, and salt. Mix well until the seeds are well coated.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Stir the sunflower seed mixture into the melted chocolate until well combined.
- Spoon small amounts of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for about 1 hour or until the bites are firm.
Notes
These bites can be served on their own or as part of a snack platter. They also make a great topping for yogurt or can be crumbled over a salad for added crunch. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For freezing, separate with parchment paper.
