Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure your butter is softened at room temperature.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs Add eggs one at a time.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour You can substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour, but it may change texture.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Toppings
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Drizzle over cookies after cooling.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Melt for drizzling or spreading over caramel.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges. Allow to cool on the baking sheet.
  2. Once the cookies are cool, drizzle the caramel sauce over each cookie.
  3. Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, then drizzle or spread the melted chocolate over the caramel.
  4. Let the chocolate set before enjoying your Twix Cookies.

Notes

To keep Twix Cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Freeze for up to 3 months, layered with parchment paper.
