Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
Serve warm with vegan ice cream, a sprinkle of powdered sugar, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. They freeze well for up to 3 months.
