Ingredients

Fudge
  • 14 ounces Sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • few drops Red food coloring (optional, for 'Vampire' effect)

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper

Method

Making the Fudge
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy lifting, then set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and a few drops of red food coloring if desired, until well combined.
  4. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading evenly, and then chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  5. Once firm, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into small squares before serving.

Notes

Ensure proper chilling time for best results. Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
