  • 1/4 cup unsweetened fine shredded coconut Optional, for rolling the balls.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt Optional, enhance flavor.
  • 1-2 tsp pure vanilla extract Optional, for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add all the ingredients to a food processor and mix until it forms a thick dough.
  2. Roll the dough into 12 balls.
  3. If desired, roll the balls in shredded coconut.
Storage
  1. Store in the fridge or freezer in a sealed container. They are best stored in the freezer.

Notes

Make sure to use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. You can adjust the sweetness with the maple syrup. If the mixture is too sticky, add more ground flaxseed to help it hold its shape. Experiment with other ingredients like chocolate chips, dried fruit or nuts for different flavors.
