  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best flavor or substitute with garlic powder if needed.
  • 1 unit lemon, juiced Adjust for more tanginess if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • Spices (e.g., salt, pepper, paprika, cumin to taste) Feel free to adjust according to your taste.

  1. In a food processor, combine all the ingredients.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

Vegan Chickpea Sauce can be served as a dip for fresh vegetables or pita bread, spread on sandwiches or wraps, or as a sauce for grain bowls or salads. Store in an airtight container and stir before serving as it may thicken slightly when stored. For variations, add herbs like parsley or cilantro, or mix in diced jalapeƱos or red pepper flakes for spice.
