Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure to soften properly for a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 1 cup dried cranberries Fresh cranberries are not recommended as they are too tart.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips You can use different types of chocolate chips if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the cranberries, white chocolate chips, and orange zest.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Best served warm with a glass of milk or a cup of tea. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or freeze for up to three months. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes may prevent cookies from spreading too much.
