Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 cups grated potatoes (about 2-3 medium potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ea egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for baking

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grate the potatoes and soak them in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, Parmesan cheese, flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into small tots and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat the tots.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Pat the grated potatoes dry to remove excess moisture for crispier tots. You can add your favorite spices or herbs for extra flavor. Use a cookie scoop or your hands for even sizing of the tots. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator; they can last for 2-3 days. To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
